Jeff Necessary was born and raised in Southwestern Virginia. At an early age, he found great success in sports, especially baseball. Jeff was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates out of high school. He chose to turn down the Pirates' lucrative contract offer, and accept a full athletic scholarship to play for King University in Bristol, Tennessee where he was a 2 time All-American, and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014.
Presently, Jeff teaches Civics and Current Events at North Myrtle Beach (SC) High School. He is set to begin his 33rd year of teaching and has no plans to retire.........yet. "When it's not fun anymore, I'll be stepping away from it. As is, I still enjoy the classroom so I'll probably be around for a while." is how Jeff explains it.
Jeff lives in Murrells Inlet, SC and shares his home with his dog, Blazer. Concerning his four legged buddy Jeff says, "I pay all the bills, but Blazer is 100% in charge." Jeff enjoys golfing at the many courses the Grand Strand has to offer. In addition to being a teacher and an author, Jeff has spent over 25 years investing in Myrtle Beach area real estate.
"I can't remember having a better day" is how Jeff greets his students most every morning as they enter his classroom - and he truly means it.
